NAC-AEP Listed Programmes

The National Arts Council-Arts Education Programme (NAC-AEP) is committed to provide all students with access to quality arts education programmes. Schools that have opted for the Tote Board Arts Grant may use the grant to subsidise a selection of Co:Creation’s workshops.



Beyond the Surface: Create nature-inspired designs

Experience a process-driven approach to art-making with this workshop. Co:Created by Mary Bernadette Lee. Participants will be guided through a series of activities to extract forms and patterns from items that they encounter in nature. Engage in close observations of the visual qualities of found objects as materials for art and design.

From Wardrobe to Wall: Eco-friendly Yarn Macrame

Inspired by the art of upcycling, local artist Izziyana Suhaimi creates artworks with environmental sustainability in mind. Participants will learn how to breathe life into old items by using them as art materials instead of discarding them. In this workshop, participants will transform t-shirts into balls of yarn and create a macrame wall hanging.

Bichromate Printing

Bichromate printing is a 19th-century photographic printing process that produces a sublime painterly quality to photographic images. The technique utilizes a combination of pigments together with the light sensitivity of dichromates to produce multi-colored. Participants will engage in risk-taking through art.

Cyanotype: Printmaking with the Sun

Dive into the world of alternative processes and make a one-of-a kind cyanotype! Participants will to create their own cyanotype prints and understand the theories behind the age-old process. The outcomes are highly customisable – choose between paper, fabric, bag or even have your own photos printed! Expect lots of fun under the sun!

Pinhole Camera Making & Darkroom Printing

See the world in a different light through a pinhole camera! Travel back in time and enjoy the process of making your own handcrafted camera and developing images in a “darkroom”. In this workshop participants will learn about key concepts in photography such as exposure, basic darkroom skills and the anatomy of a camera.

Camera Obscura Making with Found Objects

Learn how to create your own camera obscura with everyday objects like food containers, boxes or even an entire room.Through understanding the basic principles such as the anatomy of a camera, participants of this workshop will find that the possibilities offered from a DIY camera are limitless; even different surfaces can be used for the record of light.

Are the workshops open to public? Can I book a workshop to participate as an individual?

In this point in time, we do not have regular workshops open for individual signups. Bookings for our workshops are typically made as a group.

Does Co:Creation provide the workshop venue?

We do not have our own workshop venue at the moment. Our workshops are usually conducted at venue provided by our clients (eg, a classroom in school or at a client’s office).

Can the workshops be customised? What can be customised?

Yes, all our workshops are customisable. The duration, outcomes and key learning points of the workshop can be adjusted to suit your needs.

For the duration, our recommended minimum duration is 2 hours. Most of our workshops can be extended for  longer durations over multiple sessions.

How are the workshops priced?

Our workshops are priced according to the number of participants and the total duration of the workshop.

What is the maximum number of participants for a session?

We assign one facilitator to every fifteen to twenty participants.The maximum number of participants for a single workshop will depend on our facilitator’s availability.

Let us know the workshop that you are interested, the preferred date and time of the workshop and the number of participants that you will be expecting and we can advice from there.

What is the minimum number of participants for a session?

The minimum number of participants to form a group is 10.

How many days in advanced do I have to book the workshops?

To ensure that we have enough time to secure the facilitators and procure the materials, we will need at least 10 working days from the confirmation of a booking to the date of the workshop.

A booking is confirmed when the quotation provided for the booking is signed and returned by a client.

I am from a VWO (Voluntary Welfare Organisation) and I am keen for my community members/beneficiaries to experience a workshop by Co:Creation. How can I get in touch?

Co:Creation Workshop provides workshops for VWOs supporting persons with disabilities for free*. Get in touch with us for more information.

*Facilitator fees for such workshops are waived. However, there might be materials cost, depending on the type of workshop.
