Inclusive Co:mmunities

Inclusive communities provide a space where people can feel valued, respected, and supported, regardless of their identities and backgrounds. Art can enhance our ideas of what inclusive communities are by promoting diversity and creating opportunities for people to engage with different perspectives and experiences. With these workshops we will use art tool to promote representation, foster dialogue and empower individuals and communities to build more inclusive and equitable societies.

Inclusive CoCreations: Latch Hook Badge Making

Inclusive CoCreations is a series of socially engaged art workshops that aims to promote inclusivity and diversity through art-making. Co:Created with fiber artist Izziyana Suhaimi and her community partner Rabiatutadawiah, students will be guided through the fun steps from making a latch hook knot to completing their very own latch hooking badge.

Inclusive CoCreations: Clay pinching & Glazing

Inclusive CoCreations is a series of socially engaged art workshops that aims to promote inclusivity and diversity through art-making. Co:created with ceramic artist Chloe Tan and her young artist mentee Ang Shuhao, students will be guided through the fun steps from pinching a clay vessel to painting your own designs using a selection of underglaze colours.

Inclusive CoCreations: Stamp making & bag printing

Inclusive CoCreations is a series of socially engaged art workshops that aims to promote inclusivity and diversity through art-making. Co:created by visual artist Mary Bernadette Lee and her young artist mentee Tamimi Pohan, students will be introduced to how to make a linocut stamp, and print their designs on bags with a brayer.
